Profile Products Hires Josh Marden as Sports Field Market Development Manager
BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. (November 20, 2012) — Profile Products has announced the hiring of Josh Marden as its market development manager of sports fields for its eastern United States region.
“Josh’s background as a head groundskeeper at several well-known athletic facilities, along with his contributions to field education at Durham Athletic Park, makes him uniquely qualified for this position,” said Wally Butman, vice president of sales for Profile Products. “We are excited by what he can bring to our sports field customers and prospects.”
As market development manager, Marden will be responsible for supporting Turface educational efforts, industry partnerships and consulting with key customers, distributors and landscape architects. He will focus efforts on the construction, renovation, and maintenance of baseball, softball, soccer and football fields. Additionally, Marden will support Profile's golf course construction and maintenance business.
Before joining Profile, Marden was the head groundskeeper at several athletic facilities, including the Maryland Soccerplex outside of Washington, D.C., and Durham Athletic Park in Durham, N.C. Most recently, he worked as the head groundskeeper at Salem Memorial Ballpark, in Salem, Va., which is home to the Salem Red Sox.
He received his degree in agriculture technology from Virginia Tech University, where he later returned to work as a grounds supervisor for three years.
Originally from Vermont, Marden will be based in Salem, Va., where he resides with his wife and son.
