BUFFALO GROVE, Ill. – (May 14, 2010) Turface Athletics™ and the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) have teamed up for the past 15 years to offer Field Maintenance Awards and Scholarships. Again this year they will work together to recognize the efforts of high school and college coaches who work hard to maintain their fields.

One high school and one college coach will receive the ABCA / Turface Athletics Field Maintenance Award in recognition of maintaining safe and playable fields. Another deserving high school and college will receive the ABCA / Turface Athletics Field Maintenance Scholarship providing free product and funding to help them improve their current field conditions.

For the first time, awards and scholarship applications can be completed online at www.turface.com/abca. Also new this year, coaches can nominate a fellow high school or college facility to win the field maintenance award.

ABCA / Turface Athletics Field Maintenance Award

One high school and one college coach will be acknowledged for taking time to ensure their field is always in top condition. The ABCA / Turface Athletics Field Maintenance Award winners will receive:

• One ton of Turface® MVP®
• $400 to spend on maintenance equipment
• Winners will be published in ABCA Coaching Digest, Collegiate Baseball and Coaching Management

Award winners will be recognized, and will receive a plaque at the annual 2011 ABCA Honors Luncheon at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tenn., on January 9, 2011.

ABCA / Turface Athletics Field Maintenance Scholarship

One high school and one college in need of some assistance in upgrading their fields to a safe and playable level will receive:

• Three tons of Turface MVP for their field
• $250 a year for two years to spend on field maintenance
• Winners will be published in ABCA Coaching Digest, Collegiate Baseball and Coaching Management

The scholarship announcement will be made at the 2011 ABCA Honors Luncheon at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tenn., on January 9, 2011.
