Turface Athletics™ 'My Turface Story' 2015 Winner Announced
Buffalo Grove, Ill. – Turface Athletics™ is pleased to announce the 2015 winner of the "My Turface Story" promotion, a contest designed to reward members of the sports field industry for turning to Turface® products to save or maintain a field.
Josh Herrmann, groundskepper for the North Boone Youth Baseball League of Poplar Grove, Ill., will recieve the grand prize package of four tons of Turface product and $500 for field maintenance supplies.
"As the only groundskeeper for a four-field facility, I have found myself at a loss finding the right practices to get fields ready after a torrential rain," Herrmann wrote in his entry. "Living in the Midwest, the weather is anything but predictable, but many games have been saved because of the great Turface products. Between Turface Quick Dry and Turface MVP, my fields have gone from ag-lime 'fields' to the best baseball fields in the area."
"My Turface Story" asked field managers, coaches and volunteers to share the ways in which Turface products had improved their sports fields, saved a game from a rainout, helped them solve problems or made their jobs easier. Every entrant received a free Turface Athletics t-shirt and tape measure for entering.
Submissions are now being accepted for the 2016 "My Turface Story" promotion. If Turface products have helped improve your field, submit your story. All entrant will recieve a free Turface Athletics t-shirt and tape measure, and one lucky person will win 4 tons of Turface product and $500 to purchase field maintenance supplies.
"Turface Athletics is proud of its legacy of helping sports field managers, coaches and volunteers keep fields of any size safe and playable for the athletes using them," said Jeff Langner, brand manager for Turface Athletics. "We love hearing from those who put Turface products to the test, and we love being able to reward them for their hard work."
