Turface® Athletics Hosts Field Day at Georgia Tech with Local STMA Chapter
BUFFALO GROVE, IL – Turface® Athletics, in partnership with the Georgia SportsTurf Managers Association (GASTMA), hosted its annual Field Day at Georgia Institute of Technology to bolster awareness and education in the field maintenance industry.
On April 10th, 2018, 150 industry professionals joined Turface and GASTMA at Georgia Tech for a day of educational presentations, equipment exhibitions and networking. Spanning across Georgia Tech’s facilities, attendees were treated to a tour of Russ Chandler Baseball Stadium and the historic Grant Field football facility throughout the educational tracks during the day.
“The impressive attendee numbers at this year’s Field Day is a testament to the value of ongoing education in the sports field industry, and our longstanding relationship with Georgia Tech has allowed us to continually support local field management professionals,” comments Jeff Langner, Turface Athletics Brand Manager. “Partnering with GASTMA for the first time this year was a huge success, enabling us to provide improved sessions and open the event to even more organizations in the region.”

- Equipment Maintenance and Grounds Shop Tour from Georgia Tech
- Painting with the Pros from World Class Athletic Surfaces
- Pitcher’s Mound Management and Maintenance from Chris May, Head Groundskeeper at Georgia Tech
- An insightful Turfgrass education session from Jerad Minnick of Natural Grass Advisory Group.
